Don't think I've forgotten about you, I've just been frustrated with the process and procrastinating doing anything. I didn't want to be posting blogs about me not doing anything constructive. I have gotten quite a bit of feedback, and while it is really good, it's really tough to work through. It's like writing the whole story over again. I have to scrap the entire prologue, which I'm excited about, but just can't seem to get it down. I also had more tense issues than I originally thought and there is no good way to fix that other than just going through the entire document and looking for it. I'm also trying to add some details and other things in and some more characterizations which makes it even a more daunting task.
Don't get me wrong, I'm getting through it, just not a quickly as I would like. I've felt horribly guilty not writing every night. I feel like I'm letting someone down, but I'm not really...well, I guess myself. I'm centered and focused now, however. I'm going to charge through this week and weekend and hopefully get a 2nd draft ready by Sunday night. I'll have to have it sent out and read over again, but hopefully it'll go quicker this time.
I promise to post something more frequently just so I can say I'm doing it. I still don't really understand why this blog is a marketing tool, but whatever, I'll play along.
