Yeah, it's 24 days behind and any actual job would fire me! It was a self-imposed deadline and I really thought I could pull it off. I actually didn't think the editing process would take this long. Yeah, I also didn't think I was changing tense in the middle of paragraphs, but that's all taken care of now. The story is now at over 42K words since the first round of edits and I have a section I am busy procrastinating about writing right now. I also am trying to re-write the Prologue and having some issues. I may get to my goal of a Hobbit length story after all (48K words).
While I've been annoyed at having to fix things, I really do think they are all for the better. The worse thing was this past Sunday when I became pretty depressed with everything because I read through the entire thing and concluded it was no good at all. I think it was just out of frustration, but it cut me hard. I'm over that now and I do think that I've done good things. Please don't expect Ready Player One, but it's a good story with good characters and I am always my harshest critic with anything I do.
