Sorry, it's been a while since I've blogged, but this time I've actually been writing. Book 2 should be out in about a month! I'm not quite finished yet, but I'm 'next couple of days' close. Then there is the grammar and spelling proofing and the actual story editing to go through, but I think my editors will get that done pretty quickly. I commissioned the cover art to be created through fiverr.com, and I am incredibly happy with how it turned out and really excited. I am having the same guy redo the cover art for the first book, and I'll re-release that at the same time with new art and some minor fixes that have bugged me.
Speaking of the first book, I am also really happy to say that I have wrapped up a lot of loose ends from it that I didn't even purposely mean to be loose. That may not make a lot of sense, but suffice it to say that writing a book and planning out a book are two totally different beasts. I never had some stuff in my outline that has now become some of my favorite parts of book 2.
I'm really excited to get this into the hands of people and have them let me know if they like it even a quarter as much as I do. I think this book is very funny and that the story takes a lot more twists and is pretty interesting. Of course, if I didn't feel that way why would I finish writing it. I have a friend who is the commissioner of my Fantasy Football league and every year he ranks the teams after the draft, and his team is always ranked #1. I always bitch about that, and his response is always "If I didn't think it was the best team, why would I have drafted it?" Yeah, I wanna punch him every time he says it too, but I get what he is saying. People don't seek out failure and, they usually do not know they are achieving it when they are doing it. Oh, except for Batman v Superman, I think they knew they were failing and just stopped caring.
I'll try to keep whoever reads this posted in the coming weeks. Right now, I've got an ending to write and delusions of grandeur to overcome.
