Well, it's officially been 1 week since I hit "Publish", which is longer than 5 of my last 6 relationships, but I've put way more effort into this. It's been a learning experience to be sure, but I couldn't honestly tell you what I've learned. Oh, my biggest fan is French, I did learn that. I also learned that I know shit about how Google Analytics work or how much I rely on stuff like key word searches when shopping for something to read.
Sales have been fine, I guess. I'm not setting the world on fire or anything, but I'm happy that it's being read. I'm not in this for the money, I'm really in it so that I can find out if I have any talent at writing because I enjoy doing it. I'm too much of an attention whore to just do something because I enjoy doing it, there has to be some way for me to get people to like me because of it. Character flaw? Maybe, but I'm totally real about that as a failing.
I posted this on the books Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/suddenonsetevolution) and I'm also going to put it here just because. Top 5 lists are also something I do a lot because I love David Letterman and I'm too lazy for 10. Enjoy your weekend and try to do some reading! Oh, and if you have read the book please honestly review it on Amazon...a lot of shit is driven off of books having reviews and I don't have any yet. Thanks.

And I Thought Writing the Book was Hard
Hello to the Evolved,
That start is more lame than than Elec-Traci, sorry about that. I've spent the entire evening updating my Twitter, creating an Amazon Author's page, filling out a book application on Goodreads and searching for new advertising opportunities. I've already started advertising on Facebook and on Amazon and I guess you can do it on Twitter too, but honestly, I don't get Twitter. I have to do it, but I don't really get it. I created a Twitter account for Powerful Dude and am just working out what I want to do with it. I think he could be a pretty good follow if I figure it all out.
At least writing a book is fun, trying to promote it is not all that much fun. What I really need are some reviews. Sure, I want them to be positive, but I really want them to be honest. If the book is good, I'd like people to see that people thought that. If it's not that good, I'd like to know so I can spend my time watching the new fall tv shows and stop doing all this crap.
So, if you've bought a copy please be sure to leave an honest review after you finish reading. Tell me your thoughts, what you liked and didn't like. Don't put in spoilers if you can avoid it.

What a Great First Day!
Hello Slackers,
By now I hope that anyone that reads this has either bought a copy or are considering doing it right now. I'm serious about this and the feedback I've gotten so far has been great. I'm overwhelmed by the support I've gotten from people. I don't really understand all the Amazon tracking info yet, but I'm a stats-aholic, so I'll figure it out soon enough. I've got ads on Amazon itself, Facebook and am working on Twitter, but I really don't understand Twitter, so that's gonna take some time.
If you've bought the book (or borrowed or whatever) please leave a review. Of course I'd prefer that it was positive, but what I really want is for it to be honest. As always, if you have any questions you'd like to ask or any general comments, please post them here. I swear I will totally respond!
