And so it begins...

First!!!!

Oh, I guess that doesn't really mean that much when it is your own blog.
This is about my journey to write a story that has come from several places over several years.  It began with one story all together, but I could never get that to suss out, but I liked some of the characters I had created and just couldn't let them go.  This story came from my need to write about Lady Splendid and Mitosis.  I just really liked the idea of Mitosis and I really wanted to write some bitchy dialogue for Lady Splendid.


I'll get more into the process of me writing this as I find I often need distractions, and easily find them.  Below is the description of the book, which is actually just the first paragraph from the prologue...we'll see if I actually write something better someday.

Most origin stories have, well, an origin.  This one really does not.  The individuals involved all have backstories, very little is known about the event that caused all this in the first place.  There was no meteor storm, no science experiment gone wrong, no cosmic rays or swarm of nuclear insects.  One morning, for a section of the population, everything changed.  A man went to bed one night an accountant and woke up the next morning being able to shoot lasers out of his eyes.  On an unfortunate side note, that accountant blew his brains out when he looked in the mirror.  For lack of a better term or better understanding, the cause has begun to be called Sudden Onset Evolution.
