Introducing Lady Splendid

Lady Splendid was actually the original inspiration for me to write this story.  I've been a big fan of Ms. Marvel and I think most people will see some similarities in ways of appearance and powers to a slight degree, but not all in personality.  Splendid is about as far from a military minded person as you can get!  I just really liked the idea of a totally stuck up and self-centered hero and try to bring out some reason for readers to like her.  I hope that she comes off as one of the more interesting characters in the story.

Nothing is known about Lady Splendid before she appeared with all of her powers and started fighting evil.  We don't know who she was and she never will tell.  For all the interviews she has been on for all of her movies, tv shows, modeling jobs and her crime fighting, she has always avoided that question.  She's also not a big fan of answering questions about her powers.  For someone who embraces her public life, she's very secretive with the media about many things.  We know that she has some sort of control of electromagnetic energy, but we're not sure how much.  Sure, she can shoot bolts of energy, change her appearance, create some usable tools made of light and of course, the Light Bridge.  The Light Bridge allows Splendid to teleport herself and others hundreds of miles, as long as she knows where she is going.  She can know by being there before, or by having the location on a map.  The Light Bridge was the reason the Quad was so successful since she was able to get them places in a big hurry.
I realized after reading this that I haven't really told you too much about her, just inferred some things.  That' on purpose because stuff about Lady Splendid is pretty important to the story, plus I would like people to go in with an open mind about her.  That being said I'm going to end this posting with me telling you that I really think she is a great character and I hope the vision of her that I have in my head came across on the written page.
